Addis Ababa (also spelt Addis Abeba) - approx. 3.5 million inhabitants, capital of Ethiopia.

Light rail system totalling 31.6 km, with 2 lines:

- North-South from Minelik II Square to Kality (16.9 km, opened 20 Sept 2015)
- East-West from Ayat to Tor Hailoch (17.4 km, opened 09 Nov 2015)
- with a 2.7 km shared section between Lideta and Stadium

41 light rail vehicles (70% low-floor) were ordered from CNR, China, in March 2014.
